ChatGPT Revolution: Pioneering the New Era of AI Interaction

Acharya: Lets explore what is ChatGPT today, shall we?. So What is it ? Well it’s a chatbot to start with but it has many more capabilities like writing code writing mails and so on. Its like having a humanized machine whom you can converse with in… in simple English instead of complex code and the machine would search the internet, analyze and deliver the information to you. Whether its accurate or not – you need to do the due diligence but indeed we are moving in that direction

Shishya: Why was it invented?
Acharya: It was invented to make the technology more accessible. To converse with machines in a simple language. The machine being able to understand and communicate with humans can also be termed as Artificial Intelligence

Shishya: Who invented it and when?
Acharya: ChatGPT was developed by OpenAI and was open to the public on 2022 but before that they had some versions accessible, for example the initial version GPT (Generative Pretrained Transformer), was available in 2018 too.
AI if you ask – it was proposed by Alan Turing during the mid 20th century and then many others later on gave a significant contribution to make this proposal a reality.

Shishya: Are there no competitors?
Acharya: Yes there are like Google has its Gemini, Anthropic has Claude, X has Grok, Meta has LLaMA and many more…

Shishya: If all the information is being provided and explained by a machine will professors become redundant ? What about you Acharya?
Acharya: Haha – well isn’t it good – I’ll have lot of free time – don’t worry about me – this change is good.

Shishya: Are there any limitations to what ChatGPT can do, Acharya?
Acharya: There are several limitations but right now you can just focus on employing your own Natural Intelligence whenever an information is provided by Artificial Intelligence so that you work together and are able to ride the wave and not against it.

Shishya: Acharya, what is the future of AI technologies like ChatGPT?
Acharya: Anything that a human could do with information a machine will be able to do it better.

Shishya: So what will we do in the future if everything will be done by AI ?
Acharya: Haha I didn’t say that – not everything – and related to information – it’ll make your life more convenient, it depends on how you make use of it and what you do with the spare time. The technology will be much more accessible to the masses and not to a select few.

Shishya: How will ChatGPT and similar AI tools transform the way we learn or teach, Acharya?
Acharya: Each student will be able to get personalized individual experience with the learning – and it will be a interactive learning.

Shishya: How does ChatGPT actually work?
Acharya: If we put it in a simple way – the language model is trained on a large set of data. And it responds based on the training data.

Shishya: Can ChatGPT understand and respond to my emotions?
Acharya: Your emotion is just data to the machine. So like I said if there is anything relevant in the training data – it will respond.
